Abstract
Historic buildings can be damaged to varying degrees over time. Preserving heritage landmark buildings is essential always to ensure good building operation. This study uses a questionnaire to explore the people's perspective towards retrofitted heritage historic buildings in China. The collected data thus undergo statistical analysis to interpret the findings. In addition, this study selected an iconic landmark building as an exemplary model for retrofitting its heritage architectural reference to benchmark its conservation status. Eventually, the questionnaire survey validated the context consistency in the retrofitted outcome of the historic building, which is well preserved.
