Abstract
  • This research article examined the effect of Intellectual Capital, innovativeness, and Transformational Leadership on organizational performance within the context of Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) as an affiliate department of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The study adopted the quantitative research paradigm, exploratory research design and the systematic random sampling technique where self-administered questionnaires were distributed to a number of 135 participants. The sample size was reached at through the use of a table developed by Krejcie & Morgan (1970). Descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling techniques were used to analyze the results. Results revealed that intellectual capital, innovativeness, and transformational leadership positively influence organizational performance. The research study concluded that improved organizational performance can be recognized mainly through training. Intellectual capital (IC) is perceived as the critical antecedent for the sustained performance of a firm. Knowledge-based economies are the ones that can venture into the future because knowledge is the center of value creation in the era of the Internet of things and big data. The research study recommended that Intellectual capital has a bearing on increased organizational performance. Practitioners and policy-makers should plan and strategize for the implementation of systematic and individualized training towards greater output in organizational performance. There is need to organize frequent seminars and workshops in order for human resources of an organization to acquire knowledge and skills for organizational development.
