Abstract
  • Kajian tentang remaja hamil luar nikah adalah penting. Pencegahan awal boleh membantu mengurangkan masalah remaja daripada terjebak dalam masalah sosial ini. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneroka makna hubungan romantik dan hubungannya dengan motif sosial. Kajian telah dijalankan daripada Ogos hingga Disember 2009. Temubual separa berstruktur telah digunakan untuk memungut data. Daripada 15 informan yang berpotensi, hanya lima orang yang terpilih untuk ditemubual. Fail sulit informan turut digunakan sebagai proses triangulasi dan pengesahan. Semua temubual dirakam dan kemudiannya ditranskripsikan. Analisis thematik digunakan untuk mencanai data. Keputusan kajian mendapati hampir semua remaja perempuan mentakrifkan hubungan romantik dari segi hubungan intim yang dikaitkan dengan hubungan seksual sementara itu motif sosial dilihat sebagai pengalaman bercinta dan dicintai, dan kegembiraan dengan golongan dewasa.
