Abstract
  • The Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) is a crucial metric for assessing the quality of Wi-Fi signals, measured in decibels (dBm). The RSSI value is affected by several factors, such as distance from the access point, obstructions in the signal path, and interference from other electronic devices. Although these factors are commonly influencing RSSI, there is a lack of study to reveal the significance factors that influence indoor signal. This review article explores the various factors that influence the strength of Wi-Fi signals indoors, with a specific focus on the RSSI. This article discusses these factors in detail and their impact on the RSSI and overall quality of the Wi-Fi signal from literature. By understanding these factors, network administrators and users can take steps to optimize their Wi-Fi networks and improve the reliability and performance of their devices.
