This study takes the value and significance of Kandinsky's abstract art theory to the development of modern Chinese design thought as the theme, explores the driving force of Kandinsky's abstract art theory to the development of modern Chinese design, analyzes the theoretical method of Kandinsky's abstract art theory to help the abstract art in traditional Chinese aesthetics transform into modern design, and studies the role of Kandinsky's abstract art theory in promoting the integration of modern Chinese painting and design. It aims to overcome the dilemma of modern Chinese design imitating internationalist design forms, combining non-historical art and technology, and lacking sophisticated people-oriented design, and provide a design attitude of "openness to the outside world" and "self-enclosure"; "coexistence" design concept; "East-West comparison" design system design path. This study clarifies the influence of Kandinsky's abstract art theory on the form, aesthetics, color, composition, and cultural integration of modern Chinese design. It provides a design method for Chinese design that is original, beautiful, people-oriented, and blends the past and the present.
