Abstract
  • The outbreak of "COVID-19" novel coronavirus pneumonia not only threatens people's health, but also affects their psychological health. When people face sudden crisis events, individuals will have different degrees of anxiety, fear and insomnia, and different groups (in different environments) will have different psychological stress responses. Positive and stable emotions are also powerful immunity in the face of novel coronavirus pneumonia. In the face of a large number of infected and isolated people, normal district museums or psychotherapy are not available for one-on-one or group counselling. The use of visual art therapies that can be geared towards specific groups and are universal is particularly important for psychological counselling. The objective of this paper is to review the current status of art therapy in China and its development in China. This paper contributes to the understanding of art therapy activities and the current status of art therapy localisation in China. Therapists and museums will benefit from this study by gaining a new understanding of local art in anticipation of a better environment for art therapy promotion. In this case, thanks to the diversity of cultures and the popularity of the Internet, a more localised art therapy will also be easier for people to have a clear understanding of it. And how to combine them becomes a new field for art therapy to be researched and developed. Undoubtedly, with the continuous integration and development of Internet technology in various industries and fields, the new art therapy based on new technology and the development of the times will also develop gradually.
