Abstract
  • Workplace inclusion is considered a crucial concern faced nowadays, it was also included in 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Several companies have already implemented and are presently developing inclusive working practices. However, many of them fail to adequately address the practices. The SDG Compass stated that the failure of addressing this issue can result can add expenses and risks in various aspects. Because of that, researcher want to evaluate workplace inclusion practices at Selasar Sunaryo Art Space (SSAS), one of the creative enterprises in Indonesia that has implemented workplace inclusion practice, to determine how well these practices are and also to evaluate the numerous challenges they confront. This research will be conducted using mixed methods whereas using both quantitative and qualitative approaches at once. The quantitative approach will be done by conducting distribution of questionnaire to all of the employees at SSAS, and analyzed the results by calculating the average value of each workplace inclusion element to be mapped in inclusion framework. While the qualitative methods will be done by conducting interviews with SSAS representatives, and analyzed the results by using open coding method. The research shows SSAS's workplace inclusion practice is already good because it is included in the "inclusion" category in the inclusion framework. However, SSAS still has several challenges in applying its workplace inclusion practices these challenges include a reluctance or fear to speak up, unavailability of access to training, maintain and/or strengthen familial aspect, barrier to involvement in decision making, and unequal access to information. With the results obtained, researcher has several recommendations for SSAS in order to maintain and even improve workplace inclusion practices in the company, by improving the existing issues regarding the challenges and difficulties encountered in the practice of workplace inclusion.
