Abstract
  • This study employs the bibliometric tool CiteSpace to conduct a comprehensive visual analysis of the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing ceramic design. Over the last decade, AI has increasingly influenced the ceramic industry by introducing innovative methodologies to traditional crafts. Through a meticulous review of literature from the Web of Science Core Collection database, this paper identifies and visualizes key research dynamics, collaborative networks, and emerging trends within the realm of AI-enabled ceramic design. Our findings demonstrate a significant increase in research output, underlining the growing fascination with merging age-old ceramic traditions with cutting- edge technological advancements. However, the research is predominantly concentrated in technical disciplines, with a noticeable scarcity in the exploration of art and design-related studies. This imbalance underscores the potential for interdisciplinary approaches that fuse technological innovation with artistic creativity. This study aims to shed light on new methodologies for the innovative preservation and evolution of traditional cultural practices in ceramic design, offering valuable insights and guidance for both researchers and practitioners in the field.
