Persepsi guru kimia terhadap perlaksanaan Project Based Learning (PBL) bagi matapelajaran kimia KSSM

Abstract
  • Project Based Learning (PBL) merupakan salah satu kaedah pengajaran abad ke- 21 yang dapat membantu guru mengajar mengikut keperluan murid. Dalam perlaksanaan PBL di dalam bilik darjah, aktiviti dalam proses pembelajaran lebih tertumpu kepada murid. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti persepsi guru kimia terhadap perlaksanaan project Based learning (PBL) bagi matapelajaran Kimia KSSM. Kajian in juga menggunakan rekabentuk kaedah kajian tinjauan dengan menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen kajian. Soal selidik yang digunakan terdiri daripada bahagian A dan Bahagian B. Dalam bahagian A, item terdiri daripada demografi guru manakala bahagian B terdiri daripada persepsi guru terhadap pelaksananan PBL yang merangkumi empat dimensi iaitu dimensi guru, dimensi persekitaran fizikal, dimensi pelajar dan dimensi kurikulum. Seramai 217 responden telah dipilih melalui kaedah persampelan rawak mudah di mana mereka terdiri daripada guru-guru kimia yang mengajar di negeri Selangor dan Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. Analisis deskriptif dilaporkan melalui nilai skor min dan sisihan piawai. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa persepsi guru kimia dalam perlaksanaan PBL bagi keempat-empat dimensi berada pada tahap sederhana. Hasil dapatan juga mendapati bahawa dimensi kurikulum mempunyai nilai min dan sisihan piawai yang paling tinggi dengan nilai M = 3.45; SP = 1.006. Ini menunjukkan bahawa kebanyakan guru, berdasarkan persepsi mereka telah menyatakan PBL dapat membantu murid mereka untuk memperoleh keputusan yang lebih cemerlang. Hasil kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberi satu input kepada pihak atasan seperti pihak Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia dalam usaha menyokong guru untuk melaksanakan PBL sebagai satu kaedah pengajaran yang mampu menarik minat murid di dalam sesi pengajaran dan pembelajaran di dalam bilik darjah.
