Abstract
  • Recently, Telecenter has contributed to the rural community development through the ICT-based related activity. Telecenter has functionally actively in the rural community which location factors is a major consideration as mentioned in a vast literature review. Location plays important roles with possible to determine the lifetime value of Telecenter as effects the sustainability. With regard to location factors, latest advancement of global Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and traditional method of survey, discussions will starts with this focal point. This research aimed to compose a hybrid model of spatial location of Telecenter, so called a conceptual model of Telecenter sustainability, which synergies of spatial and non-spatial data. The methods use in this study was integration of GIS and Survey, while validation of the model will be based on expertise opinion. The suggestion and implications of this study are briefly explored where location factors will be visualized as catalysts to future direction of Telecenter among the rural dwellers of Malaysia.
