Review of frontier research on economic effects of pilot free trade zones

Abstract
  • In recent years, China's Pilot Free Trade Zones have begun to change from focusing on re-export trade and processing manufacturing to leading the development of modern service industry and high-tech industry, System innovation is the key, At present, the research around the economic effect of the Pilot Free Trade Zone is getting more and more attention from the academia, and the related research is more abundant. This paper reviews the relevant research hotspots and finds that the frontier research on the economic effects of China's pilot Free trade zones mainly focuses on four aspects: economic growth effect, trade and investment expansion effect, structure optimization and upgrading effect and technology spillover effect. Combined with the functional orientation of the future development of the pilot free trade zone, the following four aspects are proposed for future research: First, the dynamic effect research; Second, the research on the system effect; The third is the circular economy effect research; The fourth is the research on the effect of system innovation.
