Analisis sistem kerja ergonomik dan prestasi keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerjaan (KKP) di industri pembuatan Malaysia

Abstract
  • Aspek keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerjaan (KKP) adalah isu utama yang perlu diberi perhatian oleh organisasi. Kelalaian perlaksanaan aspek KKP akan memberi kesan negatif kepada pekerja dan organisasi. Peningkatan kemalangan di tempat kerja, tahap ketidakhadiran yang semakin meningkat, serta tahap penyakit dan tekanan semakin tinggi di tempat kerja menunjukkan bahawa tindakan yang lebih mendesak diperlukan. Kajian terdahulu juga menunjukkan bahawa ergonomik memainkan peranan penting berkaitan dengan masalah keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerjaan, terutama di sektor pembuatan. Pelaksanaan inisiatif tertentu berdasarkan ergonomik mungkin dapat memberi jalan penyelesaian, atau setidaknya meringankan masalah keselamatan dan kesihatan di tempat kerja. Kajian ini akan cuba menjawab persoalan mengenai adakah sistem kerja ergonomik (EWS) boleh mempengaruhi prestasi keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerjaan? Seramai 843 responden dari beberapa syarikat dan negeri di di Malaysia ditinjau dan dianalisis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa sebahagian besar pekerja tidak menyedari masalah yang berkaitan dengan ergonomik di tempat kerja. Kajian mendapati bahawa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dimensi sistem kerja ergonomik dan prestasi keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerjan di industri pembuatan. Oleh itu, beberapa inisiatif harus diambil oleh organisasi untuk meningkatkan prestasi pekerja terutama berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan aspek ergonomik serta elemen keselamatan dan kesihatan.
