Known for its high level of biodiversity, Indonesia has gone under the spotlight as becoming the one of the largest waste contributors in the world. Coincidently, Indonesia is a haven for business due to the abundance of natural resources available. Many researches have study upon ways to restore the ecosystem. However, it is also important to study the ways of mitigating it. As businesses play a big role in the waste contribution, this paper will be studying the ways businesses could manage its waste especially with the support of digital tools. The discussion of digital media in this issue is highly important especially in today’s context of Industry 4.0, Indonesian businesses must be able to adapt and take advantage of the advancement of technology. This research paper is exploratory research with an objective to study opportunities of digitalisation towards waste management for the different sectors of businesses in Indonesia. This paper specifically explores and analyses business processes and activities using existing SCOR Model results of 5 sectors of businesses in Indonesia. Results has shown that problem due the inability to accurately predict demand causing in overstock and hazardous risk of accident due to poor holding system, which relates greatly upon the inventory system. In order to overcome the issue, the implementation of digital device, software’s are highly recommended however digital readiness must be taken into account.
