Abstract
Children's participation rights are essential. This study used a case study methodology to examine the practices of children's participation in the Q community in China. In this instance, social workers adopt the PDCA method to facilitate children's participation in community matters. The PDCA method consists of four sequential processes for service delivery. The planning phase centres around gathering issues, engaging in thoughtful discussion, and formulating action plans. The do phase involves implementing these action plans within the community's governance and public affairs. The check phase analyses past actions, discusses advocacy plans, and creates improvement plans. Finally, the act phase is primarily focused on executing advocacy plans. This study demonstrated that the PDCA method is highly effective in facilitating children's engagement in community activities. A community deliberation platform involving children's participation was established alongside a sustainable mechanism, offering children opportunities to engage in community governance and public affairs. The researcher advocates for the following strategies: fully leveraging children's agency in community engagement, establishing a support network for their participation, and nurturing their sense of participation and value are all paramount.
