Tahap pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap keganasan rumah tangga di Ipoh, Perak

Abstract
  • Fenomena keganasan rumah tangga kini seolah-olah menjadi “trend” dan telah menjadi kebimbangan dalam sosial komuniti. Isu ini sukar menjelaskan siapa pelaku atau siapa mangsa. Keganasan bukan sahaja berlaku secara fizikal tetapi juga dalam bentuk seksual, ekonomi dan emosi. Keadaan ini menyebabkan mangsa merasa tidak berdaya dan sentiasa hidup dalam ketakutan. Justeru satu kajian mengenai keganasan rumah dilakukan untuk mengenal pasti tahap pengetahuan responden tentang isu ini. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kuantitatif melalui kaedah tinjauan. Kajian melibatkan seramai 200 orang responden di negeri Ipoh yang telah dipilih secara rawak mudah menggunakan teknik persampelan bertujuan. Data dikumpul melalui edaran borang soal selidik. Data yang diperoleh melalui soal selidik dikumpul, dikodkan dan dianalisis menggunakan perisisan Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) versi 22. Analisis dijalankan menggunakan analisis diskriptif untuk mengukur skor min dan sisihan piawai. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa responden mempunyai tahap pengetahuan tinggi. Namun begitu, keganasan rumah tangga semakin meningkat saban tahun kerana kurangnya pendedahan masyarakat terhadap hak yang boleh di perjuangkan jika seseorang itu mengalami keganasan rumah tangga. Semua pihak seperti keluarga, ibu bapa, rakan, NGO dan pihak kerajaan perlu memainkan peranan masing-masing dengan menyebarkan kesedaran dan kefahaman dalam kalangan ahli keluarga dan masyarakat untuk bersama-sama menangani kes keganasan rumah tangga.
