ASEAN Financial Economics Role in Sustainable Development and Health Policy: A Bibliometric Study

Abstract
The increasing intersection between financial economics and health economics emphasizes the need for an inclusive understanding of their interrelated themes. The study objective is to conduct a bibliometric analysis on the Scopus bibliographic data indexed articles in ASEAN countries. Besides, this paper examines the thematic pattern within financial and health economics, focusing on the intersections of sustainable development, socio-economic health determinants, and healthcare policy. The data was acquired through data filtering process is conducted with the "financial economics" terms contained in the title, keyword, and abstract areas. The articles published between the year 2019 and 2023 were to capture the development financial economics. During the study period, a total of 959 documents acquired. The dataset of 233 items, further have been categorised into three distinct clusters. The first cluster highlights the economic growth aligns with environmental sustainability. The second cluster reveals the healthcare economic burden, and the impact of socio-economic factors on health inequalities. The third cluster concentrated on health policy, public health initiatives, and the structural obstacles to healthcare access. These clusters provide an overview of previous studies, hence suggest future studies on green finance, healthcare cost-control measures, and health equity policies. This paper contributes theoretically by mapping financial and health economics themes, provide insights for healthcare professionals and financial planner, and offer policy makers decision making regarding the need for accessible, equitable, and sustainable healthcare systems.
