Abstract
  • Disaster is a serious disruption to the function of a community or society and may causes losses in terms of life, health, material, economy and the environment. Therefore, disaster mitigation planning must be utilized and managed so that all parties involved and work together. This study attempts to discuss and analyze further on the efforts to implement appropriate management services in planning for disaster’s impact mitigation both natural and human-induced, because such these efforts have not been maximized. A qualitative method with an interpretive approach is employed through the elaboration of relationship between the exogenous variable (service management) and endogenous (disaster planning) to prove the results of the interim answers related to whether or not each dimension of the exogenous variables has an effect on the dimension of the endogenous variable. As the results, this article found that around ten factors are positively influence on service management and disaster planning. In addition, this article proposes three recommendations which are expected to contribute theoretically as well as practically.
