Abstract
  • Optimizing warehouse operations is essential for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall supply chain performance. This study examines the challenges and advancements in warehouse picking and packing processes, with a focus on automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT). The findings indicate that integrating AI-driven robotics, RFID tracking, and predictive analytics can significantly enhance order accuracy, reduce operational delays, and minimize human errors. Additionally, warehouse layout optimization and ergonomic workforce management contribute to improved efficiency and productivity. However, challenges such as cybersecurity threats, workforce adaptation to automation, and supply chain disruptions remain key concerns. The study highlights the importance of balancing automation with human oversight, adopting sustainable warehouse practices, and implementing robust cybersecurity measures to mitigate potential risks. Future research should focus on AI-driven logistics, blockchain for inventory tracking, and adaptive warehouse systems to enhance operational resilience. By integrating advanced technologies, sustainability initiatives, and strategic workforce management, warehouses can optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and build a resilient and future-ready logistics framework.
