Impacts of abandoned housing projects to the home buyers

Abstract
  • Despite the fact that the need for homes was growing every year, not all housing projects have been effectively developed and finished. In Peninsular Malaysia, abandoned housing projects were the biggest problem which facing the housing sector. The housing industry's players blame each other and refuse to accept responsibility for the fact that this problem was not yet been resolved. The purpose of this study was to educate prospective home buyers on the impacts of abandoned housing projects. This study intends to provide a solution to the subject of more thoroughly examining the impacts of abandoned housing projects on Malaysian home buyers. This study was conducted due to the perspectives of home buyers about the impacts of abandoned housing projects was limited. The objective of this study was to ascertain the impacts of abandoned housing projects on home buyers. This study adopted a quantitative method research design. Sampling random method was used. The survey forms were distributed to three hundred and eighty-four home buyers at Klang, Selangor with hundred percent of respondent rate. Home buyers deal with a variety of impacts brought on by abandoned housing. The finding obtained was that home buyers were aware of the impacts of abandoned housing projects to the home buyers.
