Abstract
  • The entire world is facing a continuous decline in the nursing profession for various reasons. This decline varies from one country to another. Besides the emphasis on health care in developed countries, the nursing profession has lost its attraction in the West due to the increased opportunities allowed to women in all fields. This has caused Western countries to bridge this gap by recruiting skilled nurses from some developing countries such as India and Philippines. This study aimed to obtain and highlight the role of the human resources planning in bridging the students achievement gap in education to qualify them to work in the nursing profession and fill the need in the labor market. The study was conducted on the nursing sector in Saudi Arabia. To achieve the objectives of this research, the researcher used descriptive approach to study the nature of the study. The study in hand provides brief overview of the literature about the study, and how it contributes in human resources planning and ultimately concludes along with recommendation to give directions for future research by applying different level of analysis on exploring the role of the human resources planning in bridging the students achievement gap in education. The researcher found that there are important roles of human resources planning, such as identify the needs of the organization for manpower in the various disciplines and career levels, furthermore, Improving working potentials of individuals by providing all types of training, qualification and education during their service tenure.
