Abstract
  • Mental health communities play a vital role in providing emotional support as they contribute to stress reduction, anxiety and depression prevention, alleviating loneliness, and even potentially extending one's lifespan. To strengthen social connections within the Ashwa community, it is crucial to implement interventions that address their specific needs. This study aims to develop an intervention plan tailored to the Ashwa community's requirements, with the objective of enhancing social connections among its members. Data collection involves conducting interviews with community members who actively participate in discussions or casual conversations on the community's Discord group, enabling identification of their specific needs. These needs are then transcribed, coded, and translated into intervention plans. The plans undergo a rigorous process of confirmation, validation, and review by mental health professionals as part of a triangulation process. The outcomes of this process lead to the development of three intervention plans: peer support groups, bonding and connection activities, and routine reminders as mental health support for the Ashwa community. Further research is highly recommended to evaluate the effectiveness of these interventions, which could be assessed through pre- and post-implementation measurements.
