Abstract
  • This systematic literature review examines recent empirical studies (2020–2025) on the impact of technology integration on digital learning outcomes in Malaysia. Using PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 30 peer-reviewed studies across primary, secondary, and higher education were analysed. Findings show that national frameworks such as the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013–2025 and the DELIMa platform have promoted widespread adoption of blended and online learning. In schools, technology-driven pedagogies like gamified and flipped classrooms enhance engagement and achievement, though teacher ICT readiness and rural infrastructure gaps remain barriers. In higher education, blended learning improves flexibility and satisfaction but is hindered by limited digital literacy and instructional support. Key themes include leadership and policy alignment, teacher readiness, pedagogical models, equity concerns, and learning effectiveness. The review also presents a PRISMA flow diagram, summary tables, and a conceptual framework. Overall, while Malaysia’s digital learning policies are ambitious, success depends on addressing gaps in teacher capacity, infrastructure, and pedagogical innovation.
