Hubungan efikasi kendiri guru dengan prestasi kerja dalam kalangan guru Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM)

Abstract
  • Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti hubungan di antara efikasi kendiri guru dengan prestasi kerja dalam kalangan guru-guru di MRSM. Kaedah tinjauan dalam kajian ini menggunakan set soal selidik yang terdiri daripada instrumen Teacher Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES) yang dibina oleh Tschannen-Moran dan Woolfolk–Hoy (2001). Instrumen prestasi kerja menggunakan instrumen kajian yang dibentuk oleh Strauss dan Sayles, (1981). Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik persampelan multi stage sampling dengan melibatkan 440 orang guru. Data dianalisa menggunakan perisian Statistic Procedure for Social Science 23.0 untuk melaporkankan dapatan desktriptif dan inferensi. Hasil kajian mendapati tahap efikasi kendiri dan prestasi kerja guru di MRSM adalah tinggi. Analisis korelasi Pearson juga mendapati efikasi kendiri guru mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dengan prestasi kerja guru. Kajian ini juga mendapati strategi pengajaran dalam dimensi efikasi kendiri guru menjadi peramal utama terhadap prestasi kerja guru di MRSM. Keputusan kajian dapat memberikan maklumat yang berguna kepada guru, MRSM dan pihak yang terlibat sama ada secara langsung atau sebaliknya untuk menggemblengkan usaha meningkatkan efikasi kendiri guru ke tahap yang tinggi kerana implikasinya sangat penting kepada prestasi kerja yang cemerlang.
