Abstract
  • The current study has examined the articles on music education published in Web of Science from 1970 to 2022. It analyzes the topics covered by researchers and identifies the regions, authors, publishers, and various other aspects of music education. The researchers observed that music education has garnered significant interest among researchers in recent years. Articles on music education are primarily published in the United States and Western countries. In contrast, there has been limited research conducted in the context of China. From 1970 to 2022, a total of 2346 relevant articles were published. Among them, 1322 articles and books have music education in their titles. There are a total of 556 research articles, 421 book reviews, 134 editorial materials, 63 book chapters, and 50 review articles. Within the articles published on Web of Science, 1048 belong to the music education category. After a thorough review and selection process, the researchers have analyzed 40 articles on music education in detail.
