Abstract
  • This study explores the factors that drive the adoption in using e-wallet among youth in Malaysia focusing on perceived usefulness, social influence, perceived security and rewards. By using quantitative method, 424 questionnaires have been collected through online survey among youth in Malaysia. Findings reveal that all independent variables significantly impact on e- wallet adoption by perceived usefulness, followed by social influence, perceived security and rewards. The regression analysis showed that all the factors explain 61% of the variation in e- wallet adoption. These discoveries a valuable insight to the financial institutions, policy makers and e-wallet provider to design or approach specific strategies to enhance user trust, offer more rewards and encourage more user through social engagement.
