Abstract
  • This study aims to examine relationship between the level of obesity, lifestyle behaviour and food intake with obesity among Malaysian adults in Terengganu. This study will add to the many studies that have been undertaken to raise awareness among Terengganu's local adults about the issue of obesity and to educate them about the possible causes related to obesity. The study examined the level of obesity, the impact of lifestyle behaviour and the food intake that affect obesity among adults. The survey method is used in the study's quantitative research design. This is a descriptive study on relationship between level of obesity, lifestyle behaviour and food intake that influence obesity. It is administered outside with little disruption of the participants' regular behaviour. A convenient non-probability sampling method was used to obtain a sample size of 300-500 respondents and analysed by using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and the result reveals the importance of each variable proposed. This study might motivate Malaysians about the elements that are associated with obesity in the specific area that this analysis revealed. As a result, this research can help Malaysians better understand the elements that will influence the rise in obesity cases.
