Abstract
  • The demand for established food services, particularly in Malaysia's universities, has grown steadily as the number of students increases. Institutional food services provide meals in schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, jails, cafeterias, nursing homes, and nurseries, both public and private. This study adopts a descriptive research design. A food operator needs to maintain and improve their food quality to maximize customer satisfaction as it plays a dominant role in customers' food selection. Customers prefer tasty, affordable prices, a pleasant ambiance, and good services at the cafeteria to attain satisfaction and meet their needs. The study reveals a significant relationship between food service attributes and customer satisfaction. Therefore, university food operators must maintain and improve the foodservice attributes to enhance customer satisfaction.
