Web-Based System, Student Complaint, System Development
Abstract
This paper presents a web-based system namely Sistem Aduan Kolej Kediaman to simplify the management of the student complaint at the Politeknik Mukah. Traditionally to make a complaint, student need to inform their warden and and warden need to categorize each complaint manually before forwards to the facility maintenance unit and it will consume a lot of times. Since there lots of students stay in the hostel then the possibility students make a complaint about the same issue is high. This is because the student does not have a platform to check lists of complaints. With the system, student can make a complaint and track the current progress anywhere and anytime with their electronic devices. Agile methodology is implemented to ensure the development of the system run smoothly and all user requirement is fulfilled. JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, and XML technology are implemented to develop the system based on the user requirements. XAMPP local server also used to allow the development of the system can be run in the controlled environment by the developer. 15 users are selected to perform the UAT at the specific place to test and validate all the system functionality. The UAT results indicates that, all users are approved that the system is fully functioning and meet all user requirements. Users also agree that the system able to facilitate the managements student’s complaint in the institution anywhere and anytime with the Internet connection.
