Abstract
  • This review focuses on the technological innovation of the hotel industry in the post- pandemic. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has almost recovered, the hospitality industry continues to rely on technological innovation to survive. This review paper examined the technological innovation of the hotel industry in the post-pandemic to comprehend the technology concern on health and safety, the adaptation of technology in the hotel industry, and the transformation of technology in the hotel industry. It attempts to provide a review to expand the literature on the technology at this present time. There have been many crises in the global hotel industry over the past decade, from economic downturns to terrorist attacks and natural disasters, but nothing has shaken the industry more than COVID-19. For that reason, a study was conducted to examine how technology can help businesses in the hotel industry survive and avoid closure. Therefore, this study examines how technological innovation contributes to hotel survival strategies during the post-pandemic. This review extensively utilized secondary sources of data collected from recent studies by other researchers from academic journals, articles, and websites, with the time frame of the current study ranging from 2019 to 2023. Qualitative techniques, namely content analysis, were employed to analyze the collected articles. The search results may provide an accurate overview of the literature in the hotel industry. The author offers insight and a summary of the supported literature on technological innovation in the hotel industry during the post-pandemic period, along with future research suggestions in this field.
