Abstract
This research aims to study the impact of strategic agility on human resource management practices in UAE public universities, emphasizing three key dimensions: strategic sensitivity, strategic responsiveness, and collaborative capabilities. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected from a randomly selected sample of 53 academic and administrative employees across the United Arab Emirates University, Zayed University, and the Higher Colleges of Technology. The findings revealed a strong positive relationship between all dimensions of strategic agility and HRM practices, indicating that universities with higher agility levels demonstrate greater adaptability, innovation, and efficiency in HR processes. Specifically, regression analysis showed that strategic sensitivity explained 82.2% of HRM variance, strategic responsiveness 77.7%, and collaborative capabilities 79.7%. These results confirm that strategic agility plays a vital role in enhancing HRM effectiveness by enabling universities to anticipate changes, respond quickly to challenges, and foster collaboration across departments. The study concludes that promoting agility-oriented leadership, digital transformation, and collaborative cultures is essential for improving HRM performance and achieving sustainable competitiveness in higher education institutions.
