Abstract
  • With a specific emphasis on its crucial function in safeguarding cultural legacy within Chinese educational institutions, this research highlights the necessary integration of Chinese artistic design theory with modern publishing design practices. The research highlights how Chinese creative design philosophy supports active learning, knowledge construction, and the meaningful integration of old and new information. The importance of skilled teachers in expanding modern publication design and improving the educational route of traditional Chinese craftsmen is emphasised. It does, however, acknowledge the challenges presented by prior knowledge and comprehension. The research promotes tactics including technology accessibility, specialised training programmes, and the promotion of direct interactions between teachers and traditional craftspeople in order to overcome these challenges. This pilot study offers a solid framework for future research projects intending to smoothly incorporate historical themes into modern publishing layouts, supporting the preservation of cultural heritage and establishing a strong cultural heritage system in Chinese academic institutions.
