  • Innovation and productivity are vital for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to grow and stay competitive. Digital servitization could sustain SMEs to actualize innovation opportunities. It creates numerous opportunities for SMEs to continue seeking new business, new products, and services through digital technology. To cope with digital servitization, women entrepreneurs require an innovator's mindset. With an innovative mindset, they can go beyond technological advancement to keep up with the market trends. Henceforth, this concept paper begins by addressing the shift in people's attitudes towards digital servitization and then goes on to investigate the influence of external factors, namely, resource flexibility, financial resource availability, and stakeholder pressure on innovative mindset among SMEs, particularly women entrepreneurs. Based on the review, we will design realistic research that will incorporate prospects for theoretical progress as well as empirical discoveries in digital servitization studies. The findings are intended to increase innovative mindset among women entrepreneurs. The result shall provide a coherent strategy for women entrepreneurs in SMEs and policymakers on the endeavours of digital servitization. Addressing this issue is believed to improve knowledge while it would be of interest to policymakers in improving women's innovative mindset to accomplish government commitment towards empowering women in SMEs.
