Distributed leadership and knowledge management for AI adoption in higher education: A strategic framework

Abstract
  • This concept paper presents a model based on combining distributed leadership with knowledge management. Limited resources, unprepared faculty, and lack of coordinated executive leadership support are massive obstacles to implementing AI in higher education in Henan Province. This process establishes supportive inclusive decision-making, organizational learning, and embraces distributed leadership, which focuses on cross-department collaborations, with a sound knowledge management system. All these aspects bring about a more powerful and agile define of AI in supporting short-term pragmatic technological problems establish an establishment for future innovations. This document contributes to the discourse on educational technology leadership and considers recommendations to higher education administrators concerning their strategies to incorporate AI in their institutions. Among the other key research questions for the future are the influences of company culture on AI adoption, and how scalable this framework is, across different educational systems. Further elaboration could enlighten this framework for all kinds of education with a view to flexibility and sustained digital transformation against a backdrop of varying levels of technological development and resource availability.
