Abstract
  • China's urbanization is developing rapidly, and subway space, as an important part of urban construction, is receiving more and more attention from society and the government. The subway has alleviated the city's traffic congestion problem to the greatest extent, and has made rational use of the city's public space system. Public art in underground space has also become a window for urban cultural propaganda. Underground space is transforming from a functional space to a humanistic art space. In recent years, China's subway public art has developed rapidly and presented a diverse state, but there are still some common problems, such as the passive and single communication between space art and passengers, the lack of a certain degree of artistic publicity, and the failure to better meet people's current needs for humanistic art. This paper is a study conducted in the context of the rapid development of information technology. By exploring the application of interactive design in subway public art, the needs of riding experience are met through user-centered interactive design thinking, and the form of subway public art is enriched with interactive design, so that people can experience the sensory, behavioral and emotional participation of public art when choosing to travel by subway. First, through data review and field research, the interactive public art cases of typical cities are compared, and the application of four types of interactive public art in subways is summarized; secondly, by integrating space planning and passenger needs, the strategy of interactive design is constructed, the relationship between interactive public art and subway space is optimized, the interaction problem between passengers and public art in subway space is solved, and the humanistic and artistic needs of passengers are met. Through this study, we hope to introduce interactive design technology and design thinking into subway public art, take passengers as the subject of public art, and promote two-way interaction between passengers and subway public art, so as to highlight the city culture and enhance the city's brand image.
