Abstract
This study aims to identify and reflect on the most salient differences in teaching approaches between private piano studios and large-scale music institutions in China, with particular focus on methods, relationships, and goals. Private piano studios tend to adopt more flexible, tailored approaches that cater to the unique needs of individual students and their families. These studios primarily aim to spark interest and enhance musical abilities. In contrast, larger music schools typically follow a more traditional, structured teaching style, which is better suited to accommodate a broader and more varied student population.
