Abstract
  • This study explores the impact of green innovation on e-commerce performance in selected Asian countries, aiming to understand how environmentally sustainable practices influence the growth and development of the digital economy in the region. By applying a panel data approach over the past decade, this research incorporates environmental economic perspectives to construct a comprehensive analytical model. Data from 20 Asian countries were analysed using panel data techniques to account for cross-sectional dependencies and heterogeneity. The findings indicate a negative relationship between green innovation and e-commerce growth, suggesting that despite the importance of sustainability, its direct impact on digital economy expansion in Asia may be limited. This study contributes to the literature by shedding light on the intersection of sustainability, governance, and digital economic performance in Asia. Policy recommendations highlight the need for regional collaboration, sustainable innovation, and governance policy as key drivers to accelerate e-commerce growth.
