Abstract
  • This study aimed to examine the impact of enterprise risk management on employee performance in international organizations amid the 2023–2024 war on the Gaza Strip. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing a questionnaire as the primary data collection tool. The target population consisted of employees at the Italian organization "EducAid," totaling 34 employees, with 30 completed questionnaires successfully retrieved. The results further indicated a statistically significant relationship between enterprise risk management including security and political risks, operational and supply risks, reputational and communication risks, and compliance and legal risks and employee performance in international organizations during wartime. Moreover, the study found a statistically significant impact of compliance and legal risks on employee performance under these circumstances. On the other hand, insignificant statistically differences were found in the mean estimates of enterprise risk management and employee performance based on demographic variables such as gender, educational qualification, and job title. In light of these findings, the study recommended continuously enhancing risk management strategies, providing psychological support to employees, improving the work environment, strengthening effective communication with stakeholders, and ensuring organizations' adherence to local and international laws to protect employee rights and maintain their credibility in high-risk work environments.
