Abstract
  • The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming workforce landscapes and reshaping employability expectations across industries. In Malaysia, sports graduates working in both public and private sectors face increasing pressure to adapt to these evolving demands. Despite the growing discourse on AI and workforce readiness, limited attention has been given to its implications for this specific group. This conceptual paper aims to explore the influence of AI adoption on the employability of Malaysian sports graduates, with a focus on skill development, career opportunities, and adaptability. Through a critical review of existing literature, a conceptual framework is proposed, grounded in theories of Human Capital and CareerEDGE Model. This framework offers a theoretical foundation for understanding how AI integration can enhance graduate employability in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0). The study provides valuable insights for educational institutions, policymakers, and organizations seeking to align graduate competencies with future labor market demands, while contributing to the broader discourse on sustainable employability in a technology-driven era.
