Abstract
The implementation of China’s “Three-Child” policy is expected to lead to a continuous increase in the number of children, thereby fostering a vigorous demand for cultural products among children. This study aims to comprehensively review and analyze existing literature related to the current research perspectives on Chinese children’s picture books, providing new research insights for future researchers. Literature published between 2022 and 2024 and indexed in the CNKI and Scopus databases was selected and reviewed. This study employed a systematic literature review approach to systematically analyze literature published in the past three years. By sorting out literature related to research on Chinese children’s picture books, it was found that China’s research focus on children’s picture books has evolved over time. Building upon a systematic literature review, this study outlines the changes in research perspectives on Chinese children’s picture books from 2022 to 2024, identifies current research gaps, proposes new directions for future research, and facilitates the advancement of research in the field of Chinese children’s picture books. Additionally, this study serves as a reference for scholars to explore new perspectives in children’s picture book research, thereby promoting further exploration and development in the field.
