Abstract
  • Sisa elektronik (e-sisa) merupakan isu global yang semakin meruncing dengan pertambahan pesat dalam pengeluaran dan pelupusan peralatan elektronik. Di samping itu masalah pencemaran alam sekitar yang disebabkan oleh penghasilan dan pemusnahan plastik (e-sisa) telah menjadi keutamaan dunia. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi memberi nilai tambah terhadap e-sisa melalui pemprosesan semula plastik. Kajian literatur ini mengumpulkan maklumat dari pelbagai sumber termasuk jurnal saintifik, buku, laporan teknikal dan kertas kerja konferensi yang berkaitan dengan pemprosesan semula plastik dan pengurusan e-sisa. Analisis kritikal terhadap maklumat tersebut memberi pandangan yang mendalam tentang isu-isu berkaitan pemprosesan semula plastik dalam konteks mengurangkan e-sisa. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa pemprosesan semula plastik memiliki potensi yang besar untuk memberi nilai tambah terhadap e-sisa. Kaedah seperti pemisahan dan pemprosesan semula plastik dari e-sisa dapat mengurangkan pencemaran, mengurangkan kebergantungan kepada bahan mentah baru dan menghasilkan produk yang lebih mampan secara ekonomi. Walau bagaimanapun terhadap cabaran teknikal, ekonomi, sosial yang perlu di atasi termasuk pemisahan bahan yang kompleks, kos pemprosesan yang tinggi dan pematuhan terhadap peraturan alam sekitar.
