Abstract
As a platform for the public to know the world, the media is a carrier to carry all kinds of information and spread ideas, culture, and art. Highly developed media not only popularize the basic knowledge of art, connect the relationship between art and the public, but also promote the development of contemporary art. This paper chooses the New Star Art Awards, a representative award in the field of Chinese contemporary visual art, as a case study. It is used to analyze how the mass media is used in the dissemination of Chinese contemporary art. Then, it analyzes the positive influence of mass media on Chinese contemporary art.
