Managerial Ownership, Investment Opportunity Set and Firm Value Of The Family Companies Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange
The sole objective of this research study is to determine the effect of managerial ownership (MO) and investment opportunity set (IOS) on a firm’s value (FV). The data used in carrying out this research was obtained from a list of family’s companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (DX) for 2008-2016. 15 companies were drawn from the sample using the purposive sampling method. The method of analysis used in analyzing the data obtained is the multiple regression analysis. The results of this study revealed that managerial ownership (MO) has no effect on firm’s value (FV) while investment opportunity set (IOS) has significantly effect on firm’s value (FV). The limitation of this is research is only 15 companies and no definite to a particular sector. Future studies are expected use an increased sample and research on family’s companies in a particular sector.
