Abstract
  • In the ancient time, China has been known as a country which produces the best ceramics in the world. The influence of ceramics from China can be detected in several countries that have been their trading partners in the past, generally in Southeast Asia such as Borneo, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, and Indochina (Kiyai and Tugang, 2020). Along with the new world, people's interest in ceramics from China has changed, so the purpose of the article to explore consumer buying behaviour and decisions on preserving traditional pottery motifs design in China. This research using quantitative and qualitative research methods to helpful in relation to analysing consumer buying behaviour and decision-making of conserving the traditional pottery motifs by reviewing different trends and data evaluated from the research studies established earlier. The results of the study found that understanding the consumer buying behaviour of conserving traditional pottery motifs within China by evaluating the decision-making of customers toward traditional pottery motifs. This paper it is recommended to be more adaptable to new techniques of art by the artists of Chinese pottery. Digital techniques are most significant to adapt by the artists of Chinese pottery in the age of innovation in future.
