Peranan pengurusan strategik dalam pertumbuhan Perusahaan Kecil dan Sederhana (PKS) di Malaysia

Abstract
  • Di Malaysia, Perusahaan Kecil dan Sederhana (PKS) merupakan 98.5% daripada keseluruhan pertubuhan yang didaftarkan mengikut Banci Ekonomi 2016. Namun sesetengah PKS berjaya dan sesetengahnya pula menghadapi masalah di dalam tiga tahun pertama penubuhannya. Prestasi PKS adalah rendah, gagal mencapai sasaran yang telah ditetapkan oleh kerajaan terutamanya di dalam menyumbang kepada Keluaran Dalam Negara Kasar (KDNK), gunatenaga dan juga eksport negara. Salah satu cara meningkatkan prestasi PKS ialah menurut pakar-pakar strategi di mana mereka mencadangkan supaya PKS ini mengamalkan perancangan strategik yang formal. Proses pengurusan strategik yang melibatkan pengimbasan alam sekitar perniagaan dan industri, merumuskan strategi-strategi, melaksanakan strategi yang telah dipilih daripada strategi-strategi yang dibincangkan dan proses kawalan dan penilaian setelah strategi dilaksanakan diharapkan mampu menjadikan PKS memiliki kelebihan daya saing (competitive advantage) untuk mengharungi cabaran di dalam pasaran yang sengit dan tidak menentu. Objektif utama kajian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara amalan pengurusan strategik dan prestasi PKS. Kajian ini dijalankan dengan menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Sebanyak 384 responden PKS Bumiputera telah berjaya dikumpul. Data-data kuantitatif yang dikumpul dijalankan analisis dengan menggunakan perisian SPSS versi 11. Analisis yang dijalankan adalah analisis deskriptif (min, frekeunsi, sishan piawai) dan analisis inferensi (regresi linear). Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa hubungan antara pengurusan strategik dan prestasi PKS adalah positif dan signifikan. Sebagai kesimpulan, amalan pengurusan strategik dapat meningkatkan prestasi PKS dan sekaligus mampu mencapai matlamat yang telah ditetapkan oleh kerajaan.
