Abstract
  • The purpose of this study is to explore the educational value of utilizing the One-Page Portfolio Assessment (OPPA) across multiple grade levels and subjects at a public elementary school in Japan, aiming to foster connecting students' awareness. The notion of connecting students' awareness aligns with the research focus of the authors’ school and is highly relevant to the concept of dialogic learning in the Course of Study in Japan. To conduct this study, the framework of exploratory practice, which is a form of action research in language education, was employed, taking advantage of the characteristic of elementary schools where teachers instruct multiple subjects as subject teachers.
