Abstract
  • The Covid-19 pandemic had caused a great change in the education system. Many undergraduates and educators struggled due to the abrupt change from face-to-face learning to online learning. Some educators were not technology savvy and struggled to provide lessons effectively. This research aims to investigate the ESL undergraduates’ perspective on online learning. This is a qualitative research and semi structured interviews were conducted to collect data. Fifteen undergraduates from a private university in Perak participated in this research and answered all 5 interview questions. The findings of this research were mainly negative than positive views. The negative views were related to internet connectivity, lack of motivation, detachment issues and anxiousness. The only positive view was on the flexibility that it offers.
