Abstract
  • This study investigates knowledge management (KM) practices in PT Pelesiran Selalu’s Corporate IT department, focusing on challenges and strategies to enhance KM maturity. Utilizing the APO KM Assessment Tool and semi-structured interviews, the research identifies an "Expansion" KM maturity level, reflecting progress but highlighting significant gaps. Key challenges include inconsistent processes, limited employee engagement, inadequate training, and a lack of standardized evaluation frameworks. While tools such as Confluence and Bookstack provide a strong foundation, their integration into daily workflows remains incomplete, limiting their effectiveness. The study proposes strategic recommendations to address these gaps, including the development of a comprehensive KM framework with standardized processes and targeted training programs to build employee engagement and skills. Fostering a knowledge-sharing culture, introducing incentives for participation, and fully integrating KM technologies are also suggested. Additionally, defining key performance indicators, conducting regular evaluations, and implementing feedback loops are critical to ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals. By implementing these recommendations, the department can achieve higher KM maturity, fostering innovation, improving operational efficiency, and supporting long-term growth. This research underscores the importance of systematic KM practices in leveraging organizational knowledge to drive strategic adaptability and competitiveness in a dynamic business environment.
