International heritage listing: A case study on The Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (SAAS) tower

Abstract
  • The aims of this paper are to elaborate the information about the background and history of the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (SAAS) Tower building, the architect that design the building, the architectural value of the building, building construction, function and history of the establishment of UiTM. The Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Tower was chosen as case study to make it nominated in heritage listing. In Julai 2019, Imej & Identiti Korporat Committee of UiTM have proposed a few buildings in UiTM Shah Alam to be gazette. The problem is they have not prepared yet any criteria for listing. So this research is to get and identify significant criteria that suitable for this building to be listing as heritage where its mapping with the criteria that stated by National Heritage Department.
