Abstract
  • Akta Perlindungan Data Peribadi 2010 merupakan satu langkah untuk mengatasi masalah pencerobohan data peribadi yang kian meruncing di Malaysia. Setiap kali berlakunya kes pencerobohan data peribadi, rata-rata akan mempersoalkan sejauh mana Akta Perlindungan Data Peribadi 2010 melindungi pengguna. Paling mendukacitakan, Malaysia telah dinilai pada tahun 2019 sebagai negara kelima terburuk dari segi melindungi data peribadi rakyatnya. Oleh yang demikian, makalah ini bertujuan meninjau rentetan kes-kes pencerobohan data peribadi dan menganalisa Akta Perlindungan Data Peribadi 2010 bagi mengenal pasti kelemahan yang terdapat di dalam Akta tersebut. Makalah ini juga turut mengutarakan cadangan bagi mengatasi kelemahan yang ada. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah daripada peruntukan undang-undang, jurnal, dan rujukan elektronik.
