This research is significant because it examines the specific methodology adopted by Sheikh Abu Surur Al-Jami' in writing this grammatical text. The objective of this research is to explain the approach taken by this author in his commentary on his didactic poem, which he titled Nahwiyyat Abi Surur. The researcher has used the descriptive-analytical method; he has described the approach of Sheikh Abu Surur to the composition of grammar, analyzed the principles on which it is based, and examined its structure through the commentary that he wrote on his poetic treatise. This work is divided into two sections and four subsections. Section one covers the biography of the author and gives an overview of the book, while section two discusses the simplified and instructional pedagogical methodology that Sheikh Al-Jami' used in his commentary. The main findings derived from this study include (1) The author composed his commentary primarily for learners specializing in Arabic grammar and (2) In his grammatical treatise, Sheikh Abu Surur adopted a methodological framework that organizes topics according to word categories (noun, verb, and particle).
